The festival is a collaborative effort between Northstars Youth Hockey, Grafton Blueline Club, Grafton Parks and Rec, Grafton Chamber, and hopefully will see a lot of business sponsors too.
The plan for the Festival is to provide hours of fun for the whole family. The event will start the second weekend in Sept and run until mid Oct. Saturdays from 11a-6p and Sundays from 1p-6p. In addition to the maze, there will be tractor/grain cart rides through the trails, a small bale maze for smaller kiddos, a corn pit with slide, a tot area with games for the younger kiddos, corn cannons, zip line, swings, a spider climber, pedal car track, and other special attractions on some of the weekends to include petting zoo, inflatables, vendors, a corn hole tournament, and many other fun things . Food vendors will also be on site for each of the weekends.
Youth Hockey and Blueline Club members will be in charge of the corn cannons and grain cart rides and will need volunteers to help these events run smoothly. For those who will have hockey players for the upcoming season, you will be able to earn DIBs (volunteer hours) for the event. Shifts will be posted on the website. We are hoping that this fundraiser will be a great success for the program and hope to attract many people from the surrounding areas. Flyers will be put up in town and surrounding towns and all sorts of media will be utilized - please "share" these posts when you see them. Info will be posted on the Grafton Parks & Rec FB page, Grafton Chamber of Commerce, and the Grafton Youth Hockey FB page.
If anyone has any ideas or would like to be a sponsor, contact NSYHA, Grafton Parks & Rec, or Jodi LaHaise for GBLC.
