In the 2nd year of Higher Seed hosting first round EDC games, the Spoilers took down South/Shanley on the strength of 3 second period goals.

Peter Hills scored first 7:55 into the game on assists from Rehov and Charlie "Raga Muffin" Thompson on the Power Play. However, South would answer on a breakaway to tie the game after 1.

In the 2nd, it was Hills striking again, on assists from Rehov/Chopper. But again, South would answer, at the 10:06 mark.

This time, however, the Spoilers would answer with two straight Jade Miller goals, the first on the PP, with assists going to Rehov/Hills and Johnny/Levi, respectively.

To start the third, with a 2 goal lead, Chopper struck again, just 5:36 into the stanza. However, South would attempt a comeback with a late goal just 33 seconds left in the game with the extra attacker. But Chopper would receive a nice feed from Jade who had a puck chipped to him by Pjoter Pjoterschmidt for the empty netter.

Zach Nelson was sparkling in net, stopping 36 shots.
