In overtime, GPR JV beat Grand Forks Central 4 - 3 at Purpur Arena on Thursday. Grand Forks Central outscored GPR JV two to one to jump in to the lead at the end of the first period. Grand Forks Central added one goal in the second period and increased its lead. Grand Forks Central was up three to one, however GPR JV had other ideas. GPR JV began their comeback with two unanswered goals in the third period to tie the score at three and force a decision in OT. In the overtime, GPR JV scored one unanswered goal to win the tough game.
Jordan Keeley, Zach Gaarder, Ryan Lessard, and Carter Arendt each tallied one goal for GPR JV.
GPR JV used two goaltenders in their win. GPR JV's Hunter Bandt stopped 13 shots. GPR JV's Justin Offut made nine saves for the win.
GPR JV was 1-for-4 on power plays. Grand Forks Central was 0-for-3.
