3 Goals in 44 Seconds downs Spoilers

A wild 2nd period was the story on Tuesday in Grand Forks. The Riders had jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first, with a goal at the 14:44 mark of the first period.

The Spoilers got things buzzing in the 2nd, when GFRR took 5 straight Penalties. Brit Brouillard scored on a 5 on 3 assisted from Jade Miller to tie the game at 1. Grand Forks would put pressure on, even short-handed, but Zach Nelson would stand tall.

Then, with just under 2 minutes to play, the Riders would score with 1:07 on the clock. 44 seconds later, the score was 4-1.

The Spoilers responded in the third, trying to come back. Goals by Levi Cudmore and Chopper Peterson, would make it a one goal game. However, losing by one goal is no different than losing by 20 goals...Spoilers came away with Zero points on the night.

On a sidenote, there were no stats taken, because of a miscommunication with our JV team. That WILL NOT happen again. (Yes. I am super angry.)
