A blistering, back and forth hockey game saw no winner on Tuesday night, as the Spoilers JV and WF JV skated to a 3-3 tie.
WF scored first 14 minutes into the first period to take a 1-0 lead. Goalie Justin Offutt was able to turn away 15 of the 16 shots he saw in the first period, while the Spoilers could only muster 4 shots.
The Spoilers responded with a little more jump in Period 2, and some hard work finally paid off, as Ryan Lessard pounced on a rebound on the PP on an assist from Noah Zimmerman to tie the game at 1.
Then, just 1:23 into the third, Brandon Osowski's short angled shot would find the net for a 2-1 Spoiler lead. However, just 59 seconds later, WF would again tie the game. With a little over 5 minutes remaining, Levi Cudmore would walk out of the corner and roof a beauty for a 3-2 Spoiler lead. But once again, WF would answer 16 seconds later to knot the game up for good.
